Westland Nursing & Rehab Center was established in 1969 and was one of its kind in the area. Our original 110-bed center was built in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and wildlife. In the beginning we were the providers of care for those with long-term illnesses. Within the dynamics of the health care industry many external forces prompted us to evolve into a high level professional organization responsible for medical and nursing services for people who are being discharged from hospitals after only a few days of acute care and initial treatment.

Today we are admitting and discharging people back into the community in numbers that are remarkable.

The composition of our staff has also advanced as various licensed and certified specialists have been added keeping us on the leading edge. We employ an educator who is responsible for teaching, training and testing our staff at all levels to assure competency. Delivering subacute care for people who are coming to us directly from the hospital demands that we are up to the task of continuing those expert services with our own highly trained professionals and paraprofessionals.
